Physiotherapists address medical conditions, while personal trainers aim to enhance physical performance and fitness.

What is the difference between Physiotherapy and Chiropractic?Physiotherapy focuses on improving movement, strength, and function through exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques. Chiropractic care primarily addresses spinal alignment and nervous system function through spinal adjustments and manipulations. Both aim to reduce pain, but physiotherapy has a broader approach to treating musculoskeletal issues.

What is the difference between Physiotherapy and Massage?Physiotherapy focuses on diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating physical injuries and movement dysfunctions using exercises, manual therapy, and specialised techniques. Massage therapy primarily focuses on relieving muscle tension and promoting relaxation through soft tissue manipulation. Both can complement each other but serve different purposes in healthcare.

Do I need a referral from a Doctor or GP?No you do not require a referral. However, we do accept medicare, workers compensation and CTP referrals from GP's

Can I claim Medicare?Yes you can claim medicare with a referral from your GP.

Can I claim Health Insurance?Yes, we accept most health insurance companies including but not limited to: - Medibank Private - HCF - Bupa - GU Health - CBHS Health Fund - NIB

Can I claim Workers Compensation/CTP?Yes you can claim workers compensation/CTP. A referral is required from your GP and case co-ordinator.

What should I wear to the Physiotherapy consultation?Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for movement. For specific areas like knees or shoulders, it helps to wear clothing that gives easy access to those areas.

How can I find the clinic?The clinic is located within Chatswood Fitness First Platinum. Enter the gym from the entrance at 24 Endeavour Street, Chatswood 2067, and ask reception to direct you towards the clinic.

Is there parking?Yes, 2 hour parking is available next to the entrance of the gym at: 20 Endeavour Street, Chatswood 2067 Note, a parking voucher must be requested from the front desk when exiting. This voucher can be scanned at the gate upon exit of the parking lot.

Is the clinic accessible by public transport?The clinic is located 2-5 minute walk from Chatswood Train Station. Any train, metro or bus terminating at this station will be appropriate.

Do I need to be a member of the gym to access Physiotherapy Services?No, a membership is not required.
